Sunrise Denver New Member Meeting

The world is on fire so that a handful of ultra rich and powerful people can make more money than kings, and live out their God complexes. These are dark times to be sure, but there are reasons to hope. We the many outnumber those corrupt few, our generation clearly sees the stakes of this moment, and working class people have fought and won throughout history. Here in Denver, Colorado our public land and resources are constantly privatized, heat waves and droughts are getting worse, and our Political leaders are failing us. Denver metro NEEDS a Green New Deal. If you don’t know what to do, get organized. Climate catastrophe, tech oligarchy, continued colonialism, and rising fascism must be met by a movement of millions. That’s us. Join us on Tuesday November 10th for a new member orientation to learn about Sunrise Movement, the Denver Chapter's current campaigns, all the ways you can get involved, and all the lovely people you can be in community with here! This meeting will be in-person only at Hooked on Colfax (3213 E Colfax) starting at 6:30pm. Find us in the basement meeting room! Light snacks will be provided.
