⏰ 5:00 PM
📍 Camp Verde Community Library
130 N. Black Bridge Loop, Camp Verde, AZ 🍕 Pizza will be provided! It's time to step up and be there for members of our community. The more we can raise awareness, accurately document what is happening, and report it, the better we can support our neighbors and help ensure situations are handled appropriately. Join us for a community legal observer training focused on learning how to safely observe and document events and interactions involving local, state, and federal law enforcement or government agencies. What a legal observer does — and doesn't do We'll cover: How to safely observe and document events What information is important to record How to respond if someone is detained or arrested How to stay neutral, safe, and out of the way What to do if something goes wrong How we can support and protect our neighbors — the right way Legal observers are trained witnesses. You don't need to be a legal expert or have previous experience. This training is about knowing your role, being prepared, and learning how to be there for your community when it matters. Know Your Role. Help Your Community. Co-sponsored by Indivisible Rimrock & Indivisible Cottonwood, Cornville & Clarkdale (Indivisible CCC). This training is presented using ACLU legal observer training materials.
