VAYD Advanced Legislative Workshop

You've learned how a bill becomes a law. Now it's time to make one happen. This follow-up workshop skips the basics and focuses on the practical information and skills that decide whether a bill gets heard or buried. We'll cover how to pitch bills, how to guide a bill through the drafting process to the Governor's desk from the outside, and how to work effectively with legislators, staff, and other stakeholders along the way. This workshop is designed for activists and advocates who already know the process and want strategic advice, insider tips, a chance to practice their pitch, and the confidence to put their ideas into action. Bring your legislative ideas, pitches, and questions!
