**What would it take to build a District that truly works for all children, youth, and families?** That’s what we will be asking at our end-of-year summit on **Thursday, December 3, from 6:30-8:00 pm.** At DC Action, we’re bringing together the DC Out-of-School Time Coalition, Under 3 DC, and the Youth Economic Justice Coalition to lead a bold conversation with the mayor-elect and elected leaders from across the District, and we want you to join us. This is a critical moment for the District, with a new mayor for the first time in a dozen years, major turnover on the council, and continued uncertainty about the economy. The budget and policy decisions made over the coming months, and the plans carried out in the next few years, will impact the District for generations to come. It’s vital that the needs of Black and brown children, youth, and families be at the center of these discussions. That’s why this event will be led by young people, parents, and direct service providers from the three coalitions, who will share their experiences and what they want to see from our elected leaders, from making child care more affordable, to expanding out-of-school time programs, and committing to ending youth homelessness. **Doors open at 5:30pm.**
