About this event
Join the Nashville Tree Foundation for the 24th Annual ReLeafing Day! Held each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, ReLeafing Day is our signature community tree-planting event. Following the devastating 1998 tornadoes, our founders launched this initiative as a major restoration effort - raising $1,000,000 in six months and planting over 6,000 trees across the city. Today, that legacy continues as we focus on planting new trees in Nashville every November. This year, we invite you to dig deep and plant trees at the beautiful Glen Leven Farm on Saturday, November 21st. We are proud to be supported by Root Nashville, helping drive the citywide goal of planting 500,000 trees by 2050, and funded by the Cumberland River Compact. Whether you are an experienced tree planter or a first-time volunteer, this is the perfect way to connect with nature, meet fellow tree lovers, and actively grow our urban forest! What to Expect: We will start the morning with a brief introduction and an overview of the day's goals. Our team will provide a step-by-step tree planting demonstration and review essential safety guidelines so you feel completely confident. Then, we'll plant our trees!
