FLIP the SENATE: Phone Bank with Ground Truth & TMNYC

Join Target Majority NYC for a Ground Truth GOTV phone bank into crucial, must-win Senate races run by Swing Left—and then listen deeply to understand how you can share candidate information that will resonate with each voter to help Democrats win this year. This innovative program is changing how phone banking works and delivering insights into voters' concerns and needs to vote. In fact, at this unique phone bank, we'll be following up with folks who already spoke to a Ground Truth canvasser on their doorstep! We can see the specific notes from that conversation, and pick up right where they left off. All the training and materials you need are provided at the start of every shift, so there's no need to be an expert or even know much about Ground Truth yet! Just come prepared with your phone and laptop or computer! We recommend using earbuds or speakerphone to free up your hands as well. You'll quickly get the hang of it. Then TMNYCers will all join our own breakout room, where we can dial together and share our experiences in the chat. Our goal: to help Democrats rebuild trust, win tough races, and flip the House. We're building necessary qualitative understanding one phone call at a time, having real conversations with real people. During Ground Truth phone banks, we will talk to as many people as possible and focus on listening, making the case for Democratic candidates, and making a plan to vote. At this phone bank, we’ll: - Call persuadable voters -- oftentimes voters who don't always vote like us. - Have real conversations that LISTEN deeply to voters’ concerns. - Gather insights to share with campaigns, so they can be responsive to voters’ needs and smarter with their messaging, targeting, and outreach. - Connect voters to the Democratic Candidate and their platform to answer voters' concerns and energize them to vote.
