Hand Out Flyers Near the South Pearl Street Farmers Market — Vote NO on 83

Here's the thing: most Denver voters have never heard of Amendment 83. It's buried deep on a very long ballot, and ballots are already sitting on kitchen tables. So we're heading to South Pearl on Sunday mornings to talk to people. Grab a coffee, bring a friend, and spend a couple of hours handing out flyers to folks picking up their produce. No experience needed. If you can say hi to a stranger, you can do this. What it looks like: You'll stand on the sidewalk near the market and offer flyers to people walking by. Most people just need one sentence: "Have you heard about Amendment 83? It could bring back steel-jaw traps Colorado voters banned back in 1996." That's usually enough to get them curious. Before you come: Print a stack of flyers at home ([flyer link]). 50 to 100 copies is plenty. Wear comfy shoes and dress for the weather. Fall mornings on Pearl can be chilly. Bring a friend if you can. It's way more fun in pairs. A few ground rules, so everyone has a good time: Stay on the public sidewalk, not inside the market. The vendors are there to sell, and we're there to talk. Keep at least 100 feet away from any ballot drop box. It's the law while voting is happening. Hand flyers to people directly. Never put them in mailboxes (that's a federal no-no). If someone disagrees, smile, say thanks, and let them go. We're not here to argue, just to make sure people know what they're voting on. Why it matters: Amendment 83 needs 55% of the vote to pass. We just need to keep it under that. Every person who reads the fine print before they vote gets us closer. Questions?
