About this event
What happens to your information when you call 911? Thousands of local law enforcement agencies are sharing their records — 911 caller data, victim information, witness information and more — with LexisNexis, a private data broker that sells access to federal agencies including ICE. This often happens without local officials and citizens realizing it, even in communities with sanctuary policies. Join this De-ICE Action Network webinar to learn about this little-known data pipeline and what you can do to prevent local police departments from sharing sensitive private data with federal immigration enforcement and other agencies. **Presenter:** Shawn Segal, Public Interest Researcher at [FinePrint](https://fineprint.report/), an investigative outlet covering mass surveillance, privacy and policing. **Who should attend:** Organizers, advocates, local officials and staff, and anyone who wants to know how their community’s data may be helping fuel ICE’s cruel agenda. **Registration required.** We hope to see you live, but please register even if you can’t make it! All registrants will receive a recording to watch later, along with a toolkit for taking action. *This is a De-ICE Action Network Spotlight Series webinar. Learn more and join us to shine a light on ICE’s corporate enablers through strategic, peaceful action at de-iceaction.org.*
