About this event
Concerned about the mid-terms? Outraged about the state of our country? Join a massive multi-state overpass visibility campaign to promote voting for the upcoming midterm election on Saturdays October 10 and 31. Our messages will build impact as drivers see sign after sign the longer they drive. The Longmeadow overpass will be one of a host of sites on I-91 and across the northeast. The campaign spans from Boston, all the way west on the Mass Pike, across New York state to Erie, PA, as well as north-south from CT and RI to VT on high visibility routes including I-93, I-91, 495, Route 128 and more. Join us!! How to Get There: The address Bark Haul Road will get you there if you're using Waze. (Bark Haul Road is off Route 5.) The event is on the I-91 overpass. There's plenty of parking at either end of Bark Haul Rd, and parking on the overpass is discouraged. No signs can be attached to the overpass fencing so be prepared to hold your sign. Never drape anything over the fence, even with ropes, because it would be very dangerous if it accidentally fell onto the highway. Please take everything you brought away with you and leave the site totally clean. When: Saturdays October 10 and 31 Time: 11am to 12:30 pm ET. Come for any length of time that works for you. Where: Bark Haul Road at the I91 Overpass, Longmeadow, MA A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect all participants to uphold this commitment.
