About this event
LET’S PARTY AT THE POLLS! 🗳️ Celebrate our community. Cast your vote. We’re turning the ballot box into a block party! Come for the community, stay for the fun, and let’s make our voices heard together. It’s time to celebrate our power and show up for the neighborhood we love.
Join Engage Florida for a celebration of civic power and community spirit! THE VIBE: We’re bringing the energy to the ballot box! Whether you’re voting early or on Election Day, come hang out, meet your community, and celebrate democracy in action. WHERE & WHEN: 📍 Florida International University — Miami-Dade County 📅 Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM FEATURING: A campus-based early voting pop-up designed to increase awareness of and participation at FIU’s on-campus early voting site, with a particular focus on engaging students and young voters. The activation will be developed in partnership with the Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership to connect the event with FIU’s broader civic learning and engagement efforts. Outreach will include targeted texting, phone banking, digital promotion, and on-campus engagement to ensure students are aware of the voting opportunity available on campus and have timely information about when and how to participate. The activation will provide accessible voter education, election protection resources, and voter assistance, creating a welcoming space where members of the FIU community can ask questions, access accurate information, and receive support throughout the early voting process. LET’S VOTE TOGETHER! Bring a friend, meet the community, and let’s make it count. Any food, entertainment, buttons, stickers, or any other free items at this event are available to voters and non-voters alike. This is a nonpartisan event.
