Hop on the Bus to Harrisburg, PA to flip the House!! - GW Dems & Swing Left GWU

Join GW Dems and Swing Left GWU on a planned day trip to knock doors with **Ground Truth**—our deep-listening canvassing program. We're heading to PA-10—a must-win Swing District—to knock on doors and build trust to persuade voters to support Janelle Stelson. You don’t need to be a policy expert—just a good listener! ### The Mission: Deep Listening This isn't your standard canvass. Through Ground Truth, we are changing how Democrats talk—and more importantly listen—to voters: - **Knock More Doors:** We don't narrowly target likely Democrats. We cast a wide net and to truly understand the pulse of the community - and find people open to voting for Dems. - **Deep Listening:** We have real, two-way conversations. We’re not pitching or arguing; we're listening to voter experiences, fears, and values. Then we're sharing a bit about our candidate to win them over once trust is already built. - **Capture Insights:** You’ll be taking detailed notes on the voters you meet. These insights help us identify persuadable voters and provide campaigns with the deep intelligence they need to win. ### Here is the plan: - **Ready to roll:** Once confirmed, your bus captain will provide departure details, training, and the Ground Truth conversation guide. ### What to expect: - **The Trip:** The bus will leave the Foggy Bottom Metro on October 24th at 9 a.m. - **Canvassing:** We'll be knocking on doors in the district from roughly [Canvassing hours]. - **Preparation:** You’ll receive all training materials, location details, and support from your bus captain. You will be walking door-to-door, so comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and weather appropriate clothing like sunscreen, a hat, and an umbrella/poncho are recommended. The conversations we have today could be the tipping point. Can we count on you to help us get this bus on the road?
