You don’t have to be an expert—or have the perfect speech—to be a great canvasser. The key is knowing how to listen, connect, and make the most of each conversation. In this interactive 75-minute workshop, experienced canvassers will share practical strategies for engaging with voters of all stripes—including strong Democrats, those who rarely or never vote, and Republicans and Independents who want to see new leadership in our country. This CA-22 edition includes Villegas-specific context, PDI, and working with the campaign’s canvassing script (without sounding scripted). Through real-life stories, demos, and practice, you’ll learn how to ask great questions, listen with empathy, and build trust. You’ll learn when to keep a conversation short—and when to slow down and get curious about what matters to a voter. We’ll show you how to use what you hear to connect voters’ priorities with Randy Villegas’s vision and help them find their own reasons to vote for him. A knock on a stranger’s door can become a conversation that earns their vote. And in a razor-thin election, conversations like these can add up to the votes we need to win.
