About this event
**Protect the vote in Texas by training to become a Poll Watcher!** Poll Watchers monitor the elections process at Early Voting Locations and Election Day Polling Sites in every corner of the state, serving as the campaign’s eyes and ears on the ground. By being present and helping identify any issues right away, Poll Watchers play a vital role in protecting the vote -- and are as important as ever this election. **Take the first step by signing up now to attend a Virtual Poll Watcher Training, hosted by the Texas Together Democratic Coordinated Campaign!** At the training you will learn everything you need to succeed as a Poll Watcher, including what the role entails, what to expect, what to bring, and best practices. After completing the training process, you’ll be prepared to serve as a Poll Watcher during both Early Voting (starting October 19) and on Election Day (November 3). *Please note that to serve as a Poll Watcher inside a voting location, you must be a registered voter in the county you are serving in, and you must complete an additional, separate training required by the Secretary of State (available at https://pollworkertraining.sos.texas.gov/). We recommend completing this training as soon as possible.* **You only need to attend one Texas Together Democratic Poll Watcher Training session.
