IA: Des Moines Canvass for Clean Water

### Join Food & Water Action this October to talk with our neighbors about Iowa's water crisis, and elect leaders willing to stand up to Big Ag. Iowa has _the fastest-rising cancer rates in the country._ We know this is linked to pollution from industrial agriculture that flows into our waterways. Join us to talk to our neighbors and share information about keeping our water safe, _starting with electing candidates like Chris Jones for Ag Secretary,_ who will hold polluters accountable and clean up Iowa's water! We will meet at _Chamberlain Park_ for a brief training session on how to have effective conversations. Then, we will pair up and head out! After everyone finishes their list/shift, we meet back up at Chamberlain Park and debrief over pizza! We will be knocking on October 10th, and October 24th. You can sign up for either or both dates. **No prior experience canvassing is needed!** We use the website OpenField to track our conversations, so please bring a fully charged phone. We'll spend some time during the training familiarizing ourselves with OpenField. **Join us in getting out the vote to elect water champions in Des Moines!**
