About this event
**Join us for our Tuesday afternonn rally on the 10th St pedestrian bridge over the I-10 freeway downtown Phoenix** *Rush-hour Resistance Rallies happen every Monday–Friday during rush hour across the Phoenix metro area. Check out [RhRR.us](https://rhrr.us) for the latest locations!* Here are the particulars for this rally: **📆 TUESDAY AFTERNOONS** The rally starts at 4:30. You are free to show up anytime, but we recommend arriving a few minutes early to introduce yourself. We end promptly at 6:00 PM. Starting 29 Sep 2026, running thru 27 Oct 2026... or longer, if we love it! **🧑🤝🧑 GATHERING POINT** We gather on the bridge. Look for the signs. Can't miss us! **🪧 MESSAGING & FOCUS** One of RhRR’s strengths is that people feel free to express themselves. Ideally, your signs would help articulate any of our three pillars: * Defending democracy and the rule of law
* Encouraging voting
* Protecting neighbors and communities (e.g., immigrants, LGBTQIA+ people, workers, and veterans)
This approach keeps signs aligned with RhRR’s purpose, while preserving personal expression and emotional authenticity. The primary goal of this event is to encourage voter participation, but participants are welcome to bring any sign they wish. We will provide and display the main voting-related signs facing both directions of traffic. Bringing your own sign? Two large bars span the bridge. To make sure your sign isn't blocked, make it horizontal and no more than about 24" tall. Flags, banners, and even inflatable costumes are welcome. Some blow lots of bubbles. While our mission is serious, humor and camaraderie matter. RhRRs are peaceful, public events. Most attendees don’t hide their faces, though some do; participate at your comfort level. Photos and videos are commonly shared on social media, but you can ask posters to remove accidental appearances. **🅿️ RECOMMENDED PARKING** Street parking is available along East Moreland Street throughout the surrounding neighborhood.
