Join Swing Left for a Ground Truth canvass—designed to help Democrats flip Congress in 2026, and rebuild trust for the long term. For this year, we launched an [innovative new program](https://swingleft.org/ground-truth) that will revolutionize how we connect with voters and potential voters at their doors. At this canvass, we’ll: - **Listen deeply** to voters’ concerns, regardless of party affiliation. - **Persuade voters** using a data-proven approach of exchanging personal stories and making the case for how electing Democrats connects to what they care most about. - **Gather actionable insights** for campaigns, so they can be responsive to voters’ needs and smarter with their messaging, targeting, and outreach. Don’t worry if it’s your first time canvassing—training, materials, and support are all provided. Just bring comfortable shoes, a charged phone, and your passion for making a difference. –– **About the program** This isn’t traditional canvassing—it’s a whole new way of talking to voters. Together, we’ll gather authentic insights from communities, use cutting-edge tools to capture what we hear, and share it back with campaigns to strengthen their efforts. - *Why we started early:* We launched a year ahead of the midterms to build power before campaigns were even off the ground. - *How we’ll go big:* We’re going to a wide range of voters’ doors—not just likely Democrats—so every conversation starts to build a more complete picture of the electorate. - *How we’ll go deep:* Canvassers practice empathetic listening and have real conversations that uncover voters’ “ground truth,” not just checking boxes on a script. Paid for by Swing Left, Swingleft.org, not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
