Join Swing Left on a day trip to knock doors with **Ground Truth**—our deep-listening canvassing program. We're heading to Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional District—a must-win Swing District—to knock on doors and build trust to persuade voters to support Bob Brooks. You don’t need to be a policy expert—just a good listener! ### The Mission: Deep Listening This isn't your standard canvass. Through Ground Truth, we are changing how Democrats talk—and more importantly listen—to voters: - **Knock More Doors:** We don't narrowly target likely Democrats. We cast a wide net and to truly understand the pulse of the community - and find people open to voting for Dems. - **Deep Listening:** We have real, two-way conversations. We’re not pitching or arguing; we're listening to voter experiences, fears, and values. Then we're sharing a bit about our candidate to win them over once trust is already built. - **Capture Insights:** You’ll be taking detailed notes on the voters you meet. These insights help us identify persuadable voters and provide campaigns with the deep intelligence they need to win. ### What to expect: - **The Trip:** The next bus bus will leave from the Hudson Yards Area (600 W 34th St.) on Saturday, October 3 at 8:30 am and return around 7:30 pm. - **Canvassing:** We'll be knocking on doors in the district from roughly 11:30 am to 5:30 pm with a break in the middle. - **Preparation:** You’ll receive all training materials, location details, and support from your bus captain. You will be walking door-to-door, so comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and weather appropriate clothing like sunscreen, a hat, and an umbrella/poncho are recommended.
