## Fight on Two Fronts: Health Equity is Political Power! **Vote. Call. Text. Write. And we'll do it in PINK.** October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's also election season. And here's the truth: **Black women have higher mortality rates from breast cancer AND less political power to demand the healthcare access we deserve.** This October 24, we're connecting both fights. The Equity Alliance is hosting **Paint the Ballot Pink** - a full-day GOTV (Get Out The Vote) mobilization combined with Breast Cancer Awareness programming. We're calling voters, texting voters, writing postcards, all while honoring the fight against breast cancer and the fight for our votes. ### What You'll Do: - ☎️ Make voter contact calls (we provide scripts and training) - 📱 Text banking to reach voters - ✉️ Write postcards to voters to push them to the polls on Nov. 3 - 🎀 Connect with breast cancer support organizations and health partners - 🗳️ Join the PINK PARADE to the election commission for early voting ## _We deserve healthy bodies AND political power_
