About this event
**It's time to talk to Democratic voters in CA-22!** Let's build the grassroots power Democrats need to win in 2026 and to defend democracy long term. Join Indivisible Yolo & fellow Yolo County activists, in partnership with the Bay Area Coalition, going door-to-door talking to Democratic voters. We'll employ **deep canvassing techniques** such as active listening to open our 2026 voter conversations and learn which issues are important to them. **$100 stipend** a day available to offset the cost of gas and lodging. This canvass can be done as a one day event on Saturday, arriving in Fresno by 1pm and heading back in the evening. Or register for both Saturday and Sunday, canvass Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning with an overnight stay on Saturday night. Canvass stipends are available for 2 or more shifts. Once you've signed up, a volunteer will contact you and help with carpools and/or housing options. They will also give you details about the meeting location and names of people running the event. No experience is necessary. When you arrive at the staging location, you will be trained and given all the supplies you need. We'll have clipboards, forms, pens, snacks and water. Bring your personal items like comfy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a smile. We will be using PDI and so a well-powered smartphone is necessary. RSVP today and invite a friend to join us! Never canvassed before or need a refresher? Join the Bay Area Coalition Yes, You Can(vass)! workshop Tuesdays, 7 pm - https://www.mobilize.us/indivisibleyolo/event/987496/ Or, if you are not able to knock doors, you can still support volunteer canvassers in the Central Valley - donate here https://secure.actblue.com/donate/centralvalleycanvassing
