🤝civic engagement
Join the Wood County Democratic Party canvassing efforts in Marshfield, as we knock on doors to increase voter turnout for this fall! Elections can be won or lost by as few as 1-2 votes per ward. This work matters! Mid-term elections historically have low voter turn-out and you can help change this! Canvassers will be provided with maps and addresses, along with a script and materials to hand out at the door or leave on unopened doors. Recording answers is easy with the "MiniVAN" app on your cell phone. We can help you learn how to install and enter information if this is your first time using an app! If you don't have a cell phone, you can record your answers on paper and hand them in when you are finished knocking doors. If you are new to canvassing, let us know ahead of time and we can pair you up with a seasoned canvasser. If you’ve done this before, invite a friend to go with you and enjoy the experience together, making a difference in this election! We’ll be handing out maps, scripts and literature in Marshfield every Saturday in October from 10AM to 12 PM, for knocking doors. We can also schedule picking up materials at a different time, making it easy for you to participate no matter what your schedule. Canvass the hours that work for you, or as you can over a course of several days. If you need a different time to pick up your materials, please email wiswooddems@gmail.com or call (605) 954-4497 and leave a message with your name and phone number, along with which part of the county you live in. We look forward to hearing from you!
