Volunteer as a Nonpartisan Election Protection Attorney in MI

Sign up here for an **in-person shift** as an Election Protection (EP) Attorney during early voting site or on Election Day! Promote the Vote Fund and the ACLU Fund of MI are training attorneys to serve as challengers and be on a call for collecting affidavits. Our pro-voter challengers use challengers’ special rights and responsibilities to help ensure that all eligible voters can vote by monitoring early voting sites and polling places, engaging directly with election workers, and reporting issues to our legal rapid response team. EP Attorneys will be provided with draft affidavits and be on a call to collect affidavits from voters or other pro-voter volunteers. Before your shift, you must complete our virtual, on-demand training. The training will be available starting in October. After you complete the training, we will send you your challenger credential and official shift assignment via email.
