IA: Davenport Canvass for Clean Water

### Join Food & Water Action every other Saturday to talk with our neighbors about Iowa's water crisis! Iowa has _the fastest-rising cancer rates in the country._ We know this is linked to the pollution from industrial agriculture that flows into the waterways we get our drinking water from. Now, we’re canvassing our neighborhoods, asking people how they’ve been impacted by the water crisis and listening to their stories. Together, we will organize, talk to our neighbors, and share information about what we can do to keep our water safe, starting with electing candidates like Chris Jones for Ag Secretary, who will hold polluters accountable and clean up Iowa's water! We will meet at _Lafayette Park at 11 AM_ for a brief training session on how to have effective conversations. Then, we will pair up and head out! After everyone finishes their list/shift, we meet back up at Lafayette Park and debrief over pizza! **No prior experience canvassing is needed!** We use the website OpenField to track our conversations, so please bring a fully charged phone. We'll spend some time during the training familiarizing ourselves with OpenField.
