Do you think everyone should be able to exercise their right to vote? Are you concerned about both what might go wrong with the election but also about your personal ability to do something about it? Whether you don’t know the difference between a ballot box and a voting center, whether you know what you should do but fear you might never get around to doing it, or you just want to pair your activism with hanging out with other like-minded people, please join our Fall Online Election Protection Group (sponsored by East Valley Indivisibles, but anyone is of course welcome)! The beginning of each meeting will feature a presentation of timely Election Protection concepts and actions that will be recorded, followed by a closed (not recorded) conversation by attendees about their questions, concerns, and strategies. Everyone who registers will receive a link to the presentation recording as well as action items and key takeaways for the week. Whether you can join live or just want to receive the updates, please register and invite your friends! All meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 5pm Pacific EXCEPT the week of the mid-term election, when we meet on Monday, November 2nd. We will also have one planned post-election meeting on Tuesday, November 10th to celebrate our work and discuss next steps. We will continue this group until results are certified and winners are seated.
