Beyond the Ballot #5: Building Beloved Community

**What if we stopped trying to change the world alone?** One person can vote. One person can call a legislator. One person can tell a powerful story, but lasting change takes all of us. **_Building Beloved Community_** is where the entire **_Beyond the Ballot_** journey comes together. And after four virtual workshops, we’re gathering **IN PERSON**. We’re going to practice building community. Across generations, faith traditions, race, culture, experience, and difference. You’ll meet people you may never otherwise encounter, explore what builds trust and collective power, discover the gifts and influence already present in the room, and ask one big question: **What could we accomplish if we stopped working separately and started working together? **** If you joined us for the first four workshops, do not stop now. This is where the journey has been leading. If this is your first one, come anyway. There is room for you here. Children and families are facing challenges too big for isolated people, congregations, and organizations to solve alone. **We need each other.** This isn’t just the end of a workshop series. It’s the beginning of what comes next. **Somebody has to build the community we keep saying we want. Why not us?
