Solidarity Saturdays: Midterms are Coming

Early Voting gets underway on October 17. It's time to show our numbers! Stand in solidarity with friends, neighbors, and community members on **October 24, for Solidarity Saturdays (11am-1pm)**. Together we are stronger! We will gather on the sidewalk of the Nevada Legislative Building to raise our voices, uplift one another, and show that our community refuses to be silent in the face of abuses of power. Bring your protest signs, your passion, and your commitment to defending democracy. Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or showing up for the first time, your presence matters. Let’s stand together. Let’s speak out. Let’s make our voices impossible to ignore. 🦺 PLEASE NOTE: Our rallies are nonviolent. When there are one or more aggressive counter protesters at our events, the best way to respond is to ignore and de-escalate. De-escalation includes staying calm, maintaining your distance, using a calm voice, and having a neutral stance. If you are concerned about your or someone else's safety, please go tell a security team member in a yellow vest. Remember, counter protestors are exercising their first amendment rights just as we are-- but we also don't want a situation to escalate or to lead to any violent behaviors. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
