About this event
One of the most requested trainings we get is on trauma-sensitive practices, so we're bringing back the incredible Jessica Weaver from Cartwright Education Association to train with Carrie Wolfe on best practices for creating a healing-centered environment. In this training session, we'll further explore some basic definitions and types of trauma, a brief overview of PACEs, and how trauma effects the brain. We'll learn about trauma responses and brain-based practices to help reduce the impact of trauma as well as how classroom set-up, pedagogical techniques and approaches, classroom management shifts, & instructional planning can be used to create a trauma-informed and healing-centered classroom.
