Join the Salmonberry Trail at Kilchis Point for the Fall Equinox! We will be joined by local writers, poets, and nature interpreters to celebrate the fall colors. We will meet in the rear parking lot at Kilchis Point and be led down the beautifully maintained trail for a nature walk. Once we reach the Tillamook Bay, we will gather for poetry readings under the gazebo. As we meander back to the parking lot, we will walk along the future Salmonberry Trail where it intersects with Kilchis Point Reserve. #### What is Kilchis Point? The Kilchis Point Reserve is approximately 200 acres along Tillamook Bay in Bay City, Oregon. The Tillamook County Pioneer Museum (TCPM) owns, protects, maintains, and holds this land in the public trust. Kilchis Point is home to a wide variety of plants (flora) and animals (fauna) that together form precious ecosystems. More than 2 miles of relatively flat, accessible trails allow visitors to explore the area and the rich history of the site through three interpretive trails that highlight (1) Flora and Fauna, (2) Native American Heritage, and (3) Pioneer Settlement.
