🗳️elections
Did you know that Alameda County has an Elections Commission? This group oversees all elections conducted by the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. Our guest will be Irene Dieter, president of the Alameda County Elections Commission. Irene will describe the role of the EC, the issues they deal with, how complaints are resolved, and will answer your questions about how elections are run in our county. Also, Dr. David Renfro will enlighten us about Veterans For All Voters, a non-partisan initiative that specifically engages veterans in civic engagement, voter education and community leadership. David is a military veteran, having served in the Navy as a hospital Corpsman. Upon exiting the military, he went on to earn a doctorate in Nursing Practice and dedicate 40 years to federal service at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto. David will describe the work of Veterans For All Voters and answer your questions. We will spend our remaining time navigating you through VOTE411.org. This very helpful website contains personalized election and ballot information (based on your zip code), candidate statements, ballot measure summaries-- all the details you need to know before casting your ballot with confidence. Join us! Our programs continue to be FREE, but donations are gratefully accepted.
