Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPRs) from companies like Flock and Axon are popping up throughout Michigan, taking pictures of all vehicles coming into view and logging them into a massive, nationwide database. These cameras (and the data collected) pose a serious threat to the civil rights and liberties of all Michiganders. Every person in Michigan deserves the right to privacy, without the fear of being mass surveilled. With over 180 law enforcement agencies contracted with these third-party technology companies, Michigander's every movement is being tracked and stored without a warrant. Join the ACLU of Michigan at our virtual townhall to hear more about the growing threat of ALPRs to our privacy and how you can organize against these mass surveillance tools in your community. ### During the townhall we’ll cover: -How ALPR technology works and what data it collects; -The threats ALPRs pose to our privacy and civil liberties; -What you and your community can do to fight back against ALPRs Sign up now!
