Labor Day 2026

Mid-Illinois Labor Council is hosting their annual Labor Day parade in downtown Decatur, IL at 10:00am on Monday, September 7th. Lineup is at 9:00am. Immediately following the parade they will host their Picnic in the Park at Fairview Park in Decatur, IL. This will run until 2pm. Union sponsors get all their members in for free. A ticket for the public is $25 per person. Ticket includes catered meal, games, entertainment, raffles, ice cream, face painting, balloon art and much more. At 1pm unions will be donating $18,000 to local charities from our We Are One Community fund. We expect 3,500 people to attend.
