About this event
Learn what's broken with the Pennsylvania economy and how you can help fix it. Join us at the Bosler Memorial Library, 158 W. High Street, Carlisle, on Sunday, September 20, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. We'll serve a light lunch to help your learning stick! The Who Broke the Pennsylvania Economy training takes a closer look at why life is so unaffordable for workers in Pennsylvania and how corporations have rigged the rules to solidify their corporate profits. We'll learn how our tax system works (spoiler: you're paying a higher percentage of taxes than Pennsylvania's richest person!) and what's coming in the next few years given the federal budget cuts from Trump. We'll also discuss the Tax Billionaires, Fund PA plan and how we can win real funding for our workplaces and communities. LittleSis Public Accountability Initiative and Cumberland Valley Rising are hosting this training at Bosler Library, 158 W High St, Room A. Seating is limited, so please register early. Learn more about LittleSis at https://littlesis.org/about/.
Learn more about Cumberland Valley Rising at https://cumberlandvalleyrising.org/about/. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
