Mike Zimmer's "Farm-to-Table" Fundraiser w/ Tom Vilsack

Senator Mike Zimmer is welcoming former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack to Clinton County for a special afternoon event! Mike and Tom are hosting a campaign fundraiser featuring an Ice Cream Social and Homemade Pie Auction, centered on the significance of "farm-to-table" agriculture and locally sourced food for Iowa. The schedule for this event includes a social hour where folks can enjoy some treats while visiting with friends, neighbors, and our featured guests. During the social hour, Senator Zimmer and Tom Vilsack will share a little about the state of agriculture in Iowa and their relationships with "farm-to-table" producers and policies. Following their speeches and a Q&A, homemade pies will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with each pie being made with as many fresh, locally sourced ingredients as possible. Treats during the Ice Cream Social like pie slices, bars, soda, and (of course) ice cream will be available for purchase. The pie auction will begin at 4:30pm. All proceeds go to support Mike Zimmer's re-election, as we are nearing the final weeks of this pivotal campaign to keep a true friend of Iowa agriculture representing Senate District 35!
