Teachable Tuesdays: Estes Drive in Carboro

Join Engaged Defenders for Democracy every Tuesday on Estes Drive in Carrboro. Please park in Wilson Park at 101 Williams St., and then make the short 'walk in the park' to the selected spot on Estes Drive. We are calling this "teachable" as we will be informing drivers of the issues and inviting them to join Indivisible Orange County. This will be a POSITIVE and nonviolent demonstration. We are here to protect our democracy. We are standing up for what we believe in. We want to inspire people to join us and grow our movement! Please bring positive signs only. Some examples: Instead of "Stop defunding science" Say "Protect Research" "Immigrants make us stronger" "Housing for all" "Healthcare for all" "Save the planet" Make signs about what you're standing up for -- whether that is the libraries, DEI, healthcare, women’s rights.
