Canvass for Rep. Nabeela Syed and Jenny Levin

Join Citizen Action/Illinois for a canvass with Rep. Nabeela Syed and Jenny Levin, two leaders who are ready to fight for affordable healthcare in Springfield. Jenny is an emergency and trauma nurse who has spent more than a decade caring for patients and families in some of their most difficult moments. If elected, she would be the first registered nurse to serve in the General Assembly, bringing a perspective that is too often missing in Springfield: someone who has seen firsthand how policy decisions affect patients and families. Rep. Syed has a proven record. She has consistently stood up to the powerful interests that drive up healthcare costs and sponsored bills to make prescription drugs more affordable for Illinois families that are now law in our state. We'll kick things off with a brief program featuring our candidates and healthcare professionals, then head out to knock on doors and talk with voters about why we need these healthcare champions in Springfield.
