About this event
Do you want to elect great leaders for Texas that care about and support Texans, like James Talarico, Gina Hinojosa and Vicki Goodwin? Do you want to replace the crooks that govern Texas (Abbot, Paxton, Patrick)? Tired of sitting on the sidelines? Come on out to help us do voter checks and register new voters! PxP has a proven method of getting out the vote by supporting already-registered voters with voter information, and registering new voters! PxP has only one month to get a huge number of newly engaged voters ready to vote, so to join, you must do some "basic training" to make yourself ready. It's easy, takes just minutes, and necessary. Step #1: become a PxP volunteer (and yes, you can volunteer for more than one organization). Sign up for basic training here, and there are multiple days each week you can train! https://www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeople/event/908390/ Step #2: to register people to vote, you must be a Volunteer Deputy Registrar, and we have a training here on multiple days each week: https://www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeople/event/908495/ When you get your certificate, please contact your host and she will tell you what to do. Prior to the event you will receive an email from the event Host, and you'll get support from her to do the event, and she'll have your back as you learn what it all means. This event will be fun and fulfilling, as all of our events are! You will do something critical for Texas, and your community, and you! by playing a role in changing Texas. The event: This is an indoor event, so it will be cool! Bring your phone, and have Reach already installed and ready to go! Bring water for yourself. Also, we are on our feet for this short event, so please have comfy shoes! Host will supply everything needed for you to help change Texas! Welcome! Let's roll!
