Intro to Community Organizing: Growing to Win

How do we win? How do we advance our goals for social change? We get organized! Community organizing is people power in action. It's about uniting around a shared goal to make a difference together. Anyone can be an organizer. You don’t need a degree or years of experience—just a passion for change and a willingness to listen and learn. _Billionaires are already organized, and we can be too!_ In this training opportunity, facilitator Brian Eaton will lead participants in an exploration of Structure Based Organizing, a century-old technique for building power and creating durable solutions to issues that matter to a community. Participants in this one-hour workshop will learn: - How Structure Based Organizing works—its key principles and techniques - How Structured Organizing Conversations act as the foundation of successful campaigns - How Structure Based Organizing can enable us to build local power into a mass movement **Note: Enrollment limited to 15 participants.**
