Safety & Sustenance: Food Delivery Training

Many of our most vulnerable immigrant neighbors, afraid to leave their homes for fear of encountering ICE, face an additional hurdle: food insecurity. Many families are dependent on food from local food pantries but no longer feel it is safe to go there on distribution days. That's where we can help. We partner with food pantries to identify families in need, and we deliver the food directly to their doors. This training will take you through the process of joining our team. We'll cover what's involved, how to handle the language barrier that often exists, and how to keep yourself and your food recipients safe from ICE. This training is relevant for those who have already done food delivery, as well as for those who'd like to begin. Join us for a lively presentation and discussion. Refreshments will be served.
