Turn the South Blue!

Join Run for Something and YALLvote on September 15th at 8 PM ET for a discussion on turning the South blue. Speakers will include Run for Something President Amanda Litman, YALLvote co-founder Amanda Nelson (Amanda’s Mild Takes), Georgia State Rep. Ruwa Romman, and other special guests. ABOUT RUN FOR SOMETHING: Run for Something (RFS) recruits and supports young values-aligned candidates running for state and local offices. Since its founding, RFS has helped elect 1,600 candidates across the country, including 43 candidates in red-to-blue seats in the 2025 election cycle. Today, RFS has the largest database of any other Democratic organization, with over 90,000 people reaching out since November 2024 with interest in running for office. ABOUT YALLVOTE: YALLvote is an initiative of the Can’t Win Victory Fund that mobilizes Southern creators to build awareness and support for progressive candidates, with a particular focus on state legislative races. Launched by Amanda Nelson, Anna Ruderman and Kate Barr in response to the April 2026 Louisiana v. Callais decision, YALLvote has already grown to a network of more than 500 political and lifestyle creators and helped raise more than $200,000 for candidates running for state legislatures across the South. As population growth shifts political power southward and the stakes of who controls state legislatures and future redistricting grow, YALLvote is building the creator infrastructure needed to compete for power from the state houses up.
