About this event
Call this field trip a warbler sandwich. We'll begin up at the beach - a good meeting spot as those who arrive early will have plenty to look at while we wait for everyone to arrive. After scanning the beach for shorebirds, gulls and terns, we'll head back to the upland areas to look for migratory warblers, flycatchers and thrushes etc. Once we've had a good look around and hopefully found some gems, we'll head back up to the beach to see if anything new has arrived while we were birding the wooded area. Our official start time will be 8am. The park gates open at 7am. There are facilities in this location. Please note that while we do not charge for field trips, Pinellas does charge $6 for parking at the beach - it counts for all day. Do bring water and snacks and/or a picnic. You can register for this free event at mobilize.
