About this event
Join us September 14 to take action to stop Governor Hochul's costly and dangerous nuclear power scheme. In June, the Hochul administration kicked off a process to approve massive financial incentives for new nuclear power plants in New York, with ratepayer subsidies in the billions of dollars. Nuclear power is the most expensive form of energy, and it's toxic and risky, generating huge quantities of hazardous waste and radioactive air pollution along with posing the threat of catastrophic accidents. **We can win a safe, affordable energy future for New York.** On September 14, we'll meet on Zoom to discuss Hochul's plans and share ways to take action and get involved in stopping her costly and dangerous nuclear boondoggle. _Co-sponsoring organizations include NY Renews, Citizen Action of New York, Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS), Alliance for a Green Economy (AGREE), Food & Water Watch, Neighbors of the Onondanga Nation (NOON)_
