Join us for the first Riverpark Neighborhood Network meet up! To build stronger voices in our communities, we need to build stronger connections. This is the first Riverpark meet up, aiming to connect progressives, Democrats, and anyone looking to build a better community for all of our friends and neighbors. This meeting is all about connection—meeting neighbors, finding our people, and starting to shape what community-building and organizing can look like right here in our neighborhoods. 📍 The Well Coffee Shop 🕖 7:00 PM Come ready to share ideas: what you’d like to see Democrats and progressives working toward in 2026 and beyond and how we can have an impact locally. This is a ground-floor moment—your voice helps set the direction. We are also collecting items for people in need in Gary and NW Indiana. a short list of commonly requested items is as follows. ---------------- Gas cards Cleaning Supplies (brooms, heavy duty trash bags, anything to help clean up big messes from the storm, as well as basic home cleaning supplies) Menstral products Items to re stock fridges (condiments, milk, lunch meats) Solar charging banks for phones Coolers Lighting, candles, flashlights and batteries, lamps ----------------- Friday August 28th will be our first meet up, so come make some new friends!
