About this event
Looking for an easy, social way to get involved locally? We’re building a team of volunteers to regularly staff our pop-up Democratic booth outside the Library, typically on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings. People stop by to pick up candidate yard signs and literature, learn more about who’s running, ask questions, and find ways to get involved—and we need friendly volunteers there to welcome them. You might help: -Greet people who stop by
-Hand out yard signs and candidate literature
-Help visitors find information about our Democratic candidates
-Have friendly conversations about the people running to represent us
-Connect interested people with events and volunteer opportunities
-Keep signs and materials organized and stocked
-Help set up or pack up the booth
-Simply make our local Democratic Party feel visible, approachable, and welcoming You do not need to be a political expert. We’ll provide candidate information, literature, basic talking points, and experienced volunteers to help you get comfortable. You’re never expected to know every answer—or debate someone who wants an argument. Sometimes the best response is simply: “I’m not sure, but I can help you find out.” And you don’t have to volunteer every weekend. Help once in a while, choose the dates that work for you, or become one of our regular volunteers who helps us keep the booth staffed consistently. Whether you like talking with people, organizing materials, handing out signs, or just want a simple way to contribute a couple of hours, we can use your help.
