Weekly Canvass Training at the Lakewood/Near Westside Office!

Join the Ohio Democratic Party each week for an interactive canvass training designed to help volunteers feel confident, prepared, and ready to have meaningful conversations with voters before heading out for weekend canvasses. These sessions will go beyond the basics by covering best practices for door-to-door organizing, effective voter communication strategies, and techniques for navigating real conversations at the doors. Volunteers will learn how to connect authentically with voters, deliver key campaign messages clearly, respond to common questions, and handle challenging interactions with confidence. Whether you’re brand new to canvassing or looking to sharpen your skills, this training is a space to ask questions, build confidence, and strengthen the organizing skills that power successful grassroots campaigns.
