Azalea needs volunteers willing to help get the word out about her candidacy - you signing up to help canvass or drive is how this gets achieved! For drivers: Azalea will meet you at a convenient location, and you'll help her get to the addresses included in a turf. Turfs take about 2-3 hours, but any amount of help is appreciated! This is also a great opportunity to learn how to canvass for those who haven't before. For canvassers: Azalea can get you a turf of your choice, both by location and political affiliation. Canvassing is not about convincing voters, but for getting information distributed in one of the most reliable ways - on people's doorsteps. She needs volunteers who can either primarily distribute material, or find strong supporters to help her reach her Maine Clean Elections goal (Buckfield, Hebron, Otisfield, and Oxford residents can donate $5 only at www.maine.gov/cleanelections). Training & tips provided if you need! For virtual participants: Text and Phonebankers are also incredibly helpful! By choosing the online option, you are signing up for a banking shift to reach out to strong likely supporters to make sure they've made their individual contribution and have a plan to vote. Azalea was born and raised here in the Western Foothills. Now, as a 28 year old, 2-term Selectman living in her hometown, she is perusing office at the State level out of frustration over poor rural representation, and to demand more legislative action beneficial to our inland economies. She will be fighting for working families, fair benefits, and prioritization of Mainers over wealth while in Augusta. See more at www.azafor.me
