🎉 Volunteer with Us at Fiesta de las Patrias in Nogales! 🎉** Every September, downtown Nogales comes alive for Fiestas Patrias — a celebration of Mexican Independence Day marking the 1810 "Grito de Dolores" that launched Mexico's fight for freedom from Spanish rule. As a true border community, Nogales celebrates with a binational spirit, echoing festivities from both sides of the wall. Local vendors sell fresh lemonade, tacos, and Mexican snacks like esquite and fresas con crema, while the evening features performances from Mexican folkloric dancers and musicians. It's one of the biggest community gatherings of the year — and we want local Democrats to be part of it. We're tabling at this year's Fiesta and need volunteers to help us connect with our neighbors! Whether it's greeting folks at our booth, helping with voter registration, or just being a friendly face for a couple of hours, your help makes a real difference. **What volunteers will do:** - Welcome visitors and answer basic questions at our table - Help register new voters - Hand out information on upcoming elections and how to get involved - Help our presence at Fiesta feel warm, welcoming, and true to our border community No experience necessary — we'll do a quick training/orientation before your shift, and experienced volunteers will be on hand to help.
