PORTLAND - Table at the Labor Day Picnic (Oaks Park)

We have a real opportunity to have a universal health care bill go to the legislative session in 2027, be we must fight relentlessly to get it there. We have been offered a table at the Labor Day Picnic at Oaks Park with several union members and leadership! This is our chance to educate people on the work of the Universal Health Plan Governance Board building us a plan, pushing our petition to legislators to make this their top priority and bring interested folks back into the movement. Please note: The parking situation is complicated. So one car can take the designated parking spot in the parking lot, which will be given to the organizer bringing supplies. The event hosts recommend we park either on the street and walk in or park at their rented lot near OMSI, across from the Oregon Rail Heritage Museum, and take the train into the park. They say, "It's a blast and goes through beautiful Oaks Bottom."
