Canvass Driver for Durham Democrats

This event is for volunteers who will drive elderly and handicapped canvassers to and from their assigned neighborhoods as part of the Roy Cooper campaign. Many of our canvassers are able and willing to go door-to-door talking with voters, but don't have a way to get to their turf on their own. Volunteer drivers make it possible for them to take part. During this shift, drivers will pick up canvassers from a designated meeting point, transport them to their assigned canvassing area, and either wait nearby or return later to bring them back. Drivers may also help carry canvassing materials, such as clipboards and literature, to and from the vehicle.
