Mike Mondays: Protect the Vote!

The right to vote is the foundation of representative government. When new barriers make participating in elections more difficult, the Hudson Valley deserves to know exactly what their representatives supported and who could be affected. Join us in Peekskill as we examine Congressman Mike Lawler’s support for the SAVE Act, discuss its potential consequences for voter access, and hear from community members about the barriers people already face when trying to exercise their political rights. This rally is about more than one bill. It is about who gets to participate in our democracy, whose voices are heard, and whether elected officials are expanding political participation or restricting it. We will educate the people, defend democratic participation, and organize our neighbors to hold those in power accountable. Democracy only works when the people participate.
