Election Defenders Weekly Hangout

Election Defenders is a weekly organizing call to learn, plan and promote resistance to authoritarian interference in our democratic elections. We act in service of democracy and in line with lawful, nonviolent civil resistance against authoritarians. The meeting will be hosted on Zoom every Saturday at 11:00 AM CT and will bring interested parties together to build the skills and community needed to amplify resistance voices across the country. Why It Matters Free and fair elections are a basic pillar of healthy democracies, and our elections are under attack by the Trump regime. Trump and his enablers are trying many tactics: disenfranchising legitimate voters, blocking mail delivery of ballots, calling for armed intimidation at polling locations, making false or unsubstantiated claims about voting fraud, etc. Election Defenders will support activists who wish to use lawful, nonviolent civil resistance to protect our democracy. When: Every Saturday at 11:00 AM CT (9am PT, 12pm ET) Format: Weekly group call via Zoom Duration: 60 minutes Focus areas: Understanding the entire election process and its vulnerabilities, utilizing training and information opportunities, supporting and growing the resistance, coordinating election protection efforts.
