San Antonio Door Knocking Training for Volunteers (TX-23)

This is a mandatory training for volunteers coming to San Antonio, TX to door knock with Seed the Vote and the Texas Organizing Project. At this training we will be getting to know one another, our plan to win, what we'll be talking with voters about, and other relevant information. It's very important that you attend the training before you arrive to canvass so that you get the most current information and it's still fresh in your mind when you arrive. BEFORE THE TRAINING, please download two apps to your smart phone. If you use an iPhone, go to the App Store. On an Android phone, go to the Google Play Store. You might have to remember your password and figure out how to download apps onto your phone, so please do this well in advance of the training. Here are the two apps: miniVAN. This is the app we will use to find our targeted voters and record the results of our visits to their doors. WhatsApp. We will use this communications platform to stay in touch throughout the days while in the field. We'll also use it to share photos and inspiration from the field with the whole STV universe and volunteers in other cities across the country.
